Let the conversation begin!

This post originally appeared on my class blog as an introduction for students to commenting.

Now that you’ve finished your first post, the fun part of blogging starts! That is reading others posts and commenting on them. A meaningful comment can take time and can be more difficult (I find) than writing an actual post itself. Many meaningful conversations can begin- you’ll learn more about your readers and the community will grow!

This weekend, I read the following letter a friend of mine wrote to his students regarding this topic, I’d like you to read it here. I brainstormed a three part rule and drew a diagram on how to craft a quality comment. Please make sure you are adding each of the three parts (and more?) to the conversation-its important!
