I feel that upon joining and engaging with others on Voxer, a strong bond develops due to hearing the voices and patterns of speech. The larger- non limiting nature of your communications allows you, and your network, to more fully explore the conversations that evolve naturally. In reality I have found that in the larger chats, many digressions occur which exponentially expand the development of thoughts. Joining the #satchatvoxer group has really pushed my thinking in various ways and I can't believe how thoughtful, insightful and intelligent the dedicated voxers are in that group! New and exciting uses I'm seeing is groups forming around conferences or edcamps which helps prime, and extend the learning that occurs during those events.Practice Public Speaking
It's funny how long it can take to write a Tweet, look at it and edit it to make sure it's saying just the right thing. With a vox, you don't get that opportunity to revise. Thats why voxing is so important to start for anyone who does a lot of public speaking. Forming your thoughts on the fly, not rambling on are important (keeping your voxes to about a minute is the goal). Each of us has the one thing we say too much, especially when we are out of ideas- mine is saying "um". Voxing regularly helps me with these speaking skills in ways no other tool does.So go ahead and download Voxer, look up your Tweeps, and try it out!
